It is anticipated that Members and guests will choose to dress in a manner which is suitable and appropriate for their surroundings and activity. Members are asked to give guidance to their guests on how to dress to comfortably enjoy the Club.
Gentlemen and boys should remove hats when entering the building. Tee shirts with graphics would not meet the standard for PGCC. Shirts and shoes are required to enter any buildings except pool restrooms.
Sunset Lounge and Terrace Patio:
Lunch and Dinner: Tennis and golf attire and appropriate denim.
Lunch: Tennis and golf attire. Casual dress.
Dinner (Men): Casual attire, including collared shirts with sleeves. Shirts may be worn untucked if style indicates. Bermuda-length shorts or slacks.
Dinner (Women): Casual attire, including appropriate tops, dresses, skirts, slacks, capris and shorts.
Manor: Event flyers will provide event specific recommendations so that everyone feels appropriate.
Holidays: Jackets are requested for gentlemen on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Easter and Mother’s day. Long pants and a collared shirt are required.
The golf course includes the courses, putting green, driving range, and any other practice area so designated. Appropriate golf attire is required for all players on the golf courses, practice range and practice greens. Members are expected to ensure that their guests and family members adhere to these rules.
For men: Shirts with collars (including mock turtle necks with a collar of one inch or more) and sleeves. Shirts to be tucked in unless designed to be worn untucked. Slacks or golf shorts up to four inches above the knees are considered appropriate attire. Hats to be worn with brim forward.
For women: Dresses, skirts, slacks, golf shorts up to four inches above the knee and golf shirts (including mock turtle necks with a collar of one inch or more) are considered appropriate attire. Shirts must be tucked in unless designed to be untucked. Hats to be worn with brim forward.
Appropriate golf shoes or approved shoes are required on the golf course and practice areas.
Unacceptable for Men: Tank tops, fishnet tops, shirts with pictures or slogans, cut-offs, jams, sweat pants, denim jeans, bathing suits, board shorts, tennis shorts, cargo shorts with outside bulging pockets, or other athletic shorts more than six inches above the knee are not permitted.
Unacceptable for Women: Halter tops, tank tops, shirts with pictures or slogans, bathing suits, sweat pants, denim jeans, tennis dresses, or athletic shorts more than six inches above the knee are not permitted.
Unacceptable Shoes: Use of shoes other than golf shoes must be approved by the Pro Shop. Metal spikes, football spikes, and baseball spikes are not permitted.
The dress code is mandatory for all players. Improperly dressed players will be asked to change into acceptable attire before playing. Any misuse or disregard for these Rules may cause privileges to be reviewed, and restricted or suspended.
Proper tennis attire, as determined by the Pro Shop, is required at times. Colored clothing is permitted but cut-offs, bathing suits, and running shorts are not permitted. Shirts and regulation tennis shoes are required.
Fitness Center Attire
Proper attire is required at all times. No swim wear or jeans. Shorts, tank tops, t-shirts, and tights are permitted. A shirt and tennis shoes or similar shoes are required. No open toed shoes are allowed.
All persons using the pool or spa must wear appropriate attire. Cut-offs, dungarees, “T’Backs,” abbreviated swim wear, and Bermuda shorts are not considered appropriate attire. Please do not enter the Clubhouse in your swimming attire. Proper club attire is required for the Clubhouse. When walking around Plantation, please wear an appropriate cover-up. Parking in the tennis parking lot will allow you to avoid the Clubhouse area.
Members and their guests should respect other Members’ dining, golfing, tennis, and fitness areas. Cell phones brought to these areas must be shut off, or set to silent or vibrate. Anyone receiving or initiating a cell phone call must do his or her talking outside these areas and away from players on the courses.
