| Scorecard | | | Description: #9 is simply one of the best, prettiest and most fun par 5s we play here at Plantation. While there is plenty of trouble along the way with Out of Bounds all down the left side and a very large water hazard all down the right, the maximum yardage from the back tees is still only 476 yards. A grove of trees buffers the lake for 2/3 of the drive zone and one of our larger and more shapely bunkers dominates the ground between the lake and the green. How to Play It: The best advice given for playing this hole has not changed since opening day at the Panther nearly 14 years ago. Take only what this hole will give you and no more. That is, if it is a three shot hole for you to the green, hit a shorter more controllable club from the tee and again for your second shot. Even with two short shots to begin the hole, most players will have a relatively short third shot, then to the green. Ask yourself this question before playing from the tee...Would you take a 5 on this hole right now? If yes, play conservative and take the potential big number out of the scenario.
