Position: General Manager & Chief Operating Officer
John has forty years of experience in the hospitality industry. His first ten years were served as an executive chef. The in the 1970s John moved to Sarasota to open the Charley’s Crab restaurant located on St. Armand’s Circle. After spending eight years in the hotel field, John made a career move and started managing local area restaurants. In 2005 he entered the Private Country Club industry. John recently earned his Certified Club Manager (CCM) status from the Club Managers Association of America (CCMA) in 2013 in which he has been actively involved as a member for five years.
John came to Plantation Golf and Country Club in 2009, and has been working hard to help take Plantation out of the Real Estate meltdown, and get the Club back on track to a positive membership growth. John’s background in Food & Beverage has helped create a strong Food & Beverage department. His main concentration right now is on upgrading the Club facilities and increasing the Membership.
